STONEDFISH

Feeder Fish

:( :( My Payara chomped my new Jardini.. Another $50 feeder fish served up by me! I guess I should get the point. My advice...if another member says not to worry..that fish won't eat that fish.. they still might get eaten. Always worry when mixing monsters! Don't put any together if you aren't willing to lose one of them seeing if it works out.:( :(
My first Arowana was Silver that I paid 50 bucks for. That was eaten by a Kafue Pike. Then I bought a new Silver and have had him for two years, he's still doing great. Pushin' 30".
I decided to buy a Leichardti when the opportunity arose, paid $99.99 for it. It lasted two weeks before I found it dead in the tank. Never really figured what happened, but it looked like it had gill curl.
The Jardini was my last Arowana I'll ever buy. I'm sticking with my Silver until it dies, which hopefully won't be for a long time.
Thank God I can't buy Asian Arowanas or I'd be homeless from wasting money killing them.
I saw some baby silvers at the LFS and they were like.."Look out, here comes that guy who's attempting to singlehandedly eliminate the species! HIDE, maybe he won't buy us!!"

yeah try getting a Tiger Shovel Nose Catfish you will be feeding it A LOT of expesive fish before you just say okay no tank mates for you.

Yep, one of the lessons everyone keeps on learning, and then for some reason quickly forgeting just to relearn come the next impulse buy...

dont worry throughout my fish keeping experiences ive lost like one baby silver one baby black and three jardinis..........then i found this site lolz

I had my arowana jump out hit me in the neck and die when it hit the hardwood floor! that sucked.

Hey sorry to hear about that man. I havent ever lost an aro to another fish but I have had my aro eat some other fish. I had a silver that ate a tigrinus, an EBJD, and clown loaches that were all at least the size of his head. The tig was actually half as large as the aro.

well,my jar ate my rtg.............and i ate the jar!.....

Here a shot of the Silver that got eaten and my Leichardti right before I flushed him. The Jardini is in plastic wrap in my freezer! I was actually debating on brining it back to my LFS and see if he could cut me a deal on a new one... but that goes against my "SAVE THE AROWANA, don't buy any" motto.
