Conkelli and Curvicep cichlids

The last thing I seen about the Conkeli was that they were Pink Fenestratus (Vieja).
Just has lot more black. But not sure though. I know an lfs has them for 8.99 @

I agree, I found one thread where Dan Woodland stated that chances were it is either a Pink Fenestratus from lake Catemaco or a hybrid. It is a short post where he tried to answer a forum members question. Here is the link to his statement.

I do have an lfs that sells 2-3" Conkeli also. When I questioned him about how they colored up he stated that they are the Pink Fens also. He showed me one at 6" in another tank that appeared almost like a piebald Pink Fen. Kinda like the Pie mottling was peel back and had the pink/orangish color underneath around its nose. I know not whether they are actually a hybrid or not.
I will be up that way this coming week and will try to get some photos to post.

i can try to get some pics next time i go there..... some are mostly white with allot of "dirty" red/blue/orange markings on them. others are just white and orange. let me see if i can find anything close on the net.
