In a dream
On the top of my Eshopps 300 wet/dry i have 2 x 1" bulkheads. I am going to plumb soon so i am trying to come up with ideas how to plumb my drains into my bulkheads. I want to hard pvc everything or possibly use some flex pvc. My concern is that i want to be be able to remove the black plates at the top of the wet/dry if i need to change the filter pads.

I seen a pic of another member here that had a union valve connecting to a 90 going into the bulkhead. Im looking for more ideas so i have different options. Was thinking about building something to where maybe i have flex pvc or hosing running into the bulkheads so i can just pull it out?

Any info or advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you're going to hard plumb your drains why not just toss the lid, I would think it's just to reduce evaporation and possibly noise

i guess that is an option. Maybe run like a DIY spray bar on to the filter pads? Any ideas?

diy spraybar from drains is asking for a clog, I would just run a filter pad on top of your bio and call it good

I have strainers on my bulkhead and have 1.5" drains. And i was thinking about drilling quite a few holes at a good size. Do you still think it will clog? If so, care to explain? If i was making a DIY spray bar insdie my tank for my return i would definately make it different.
