cons and a pleco?

I'm getting a pair of Cons for my 30 gallon tank but I really don't want to have to deal with the breeding. I've heard plecos go out at night and eat the eggs and this would be perfect. What would be the best pleco that could survive the Cons without growing out of the tank?

And its a fish that can live there for life? Or at least a couple years?

In a 30 gallon tank it would prolly make it a short life I would think.
