Would all of these fish work in a 8' long 300 gallon tank?

Oscar
Jack Dempsey
Jaguar female
Amarillo
Gutalatum
Pearsi
Bocourti
Zonatum
Fenestratum
Synspilum

I don't think you would have a problem with all of those in a 300 long. Personally, I think you could add a couple more if you want. Great stocklist though, I'd love to see it up and running.

i agree with frazzler i would add some decor in there just for some territorial issues if one was to arise

:iagree: fine for that size tank.

I have 2 125 gallon tanks that I wan't to combine into one larger tank. I don't have to worry about aggression out of my Amarillo, because he is pretty chilled. The Trimac though can be a real SOB. I have a couple of more fish that I could add, but I didn't want to stock it too heavy. I also have a female jack and a female bocourti that I could add.

Wow! Big list-I guess it depends what list you fall in. For example old timers like myself wouldn't stock that high-in my 240 gallon I usually average bet. 4-5 large cichlids. There are others though who have overstocked and it worked out-I would just recommend 50% water changes a week and a lot of caves. Though your 8 foot tank may look large and empty now you must remember that cichlids are different than any other fish in that they are territorial-Had a RD kill almost all my fish in a 1032 gallon pond.

Yeah those fish will be fine. Plenty of space in there. Just dont go to crazy stocking ur tank
