well heres the story as is. im a teen, i have a 220g, and im over stocked.
i got the 220 mainly because i wanted an silver arowana, but it turned out they need bigger (bummer), so thats a problem all in its own. i also have 2 red bellied pacu, which is obviously a problem. and a tsn. and a largemouth bass. and an oscar.
so clearly ive got a taste for large fish. but i also cant keep the ones i have for life. i know this stock was a mistake so please no flaming for that, im just wanting to fix things before these fish outgrow my tank (theyd probably be fine for another year or so, but id rather not wait til its too late).
my original plan was to build a pond for these guys, but i decided not to because im only in this house for another 3 years and i dont want to leave my parents with something like that to deal with.
im considering getting rid of the arowana, pacus, largemouth, and tsn. and maybe adding a sal and jardini. but i really dont want to lose the arowana.
im also considering completely starting over fresh and doing a large community of angels, barbs, peaceful cichlids, a sal, and a bunch of small community fish (big enough that the sal wont eat them). but i really like my oscar too and dont want to lose it.

no matter what this is going to be a hard thing to do but i know i made a mistake and need to fix it.

if you have any ideas please feel free to throw them out there. id like to keep the oscar and aro if possible.

I can give those guys a home if you decide to rehome them.
thats something i was considering. they would just have to go to someone who can take care of them properly for life and someone whod be willing to keep me updated on them with pics of them growing up and such

The oscar would be fine. You could definitely keep him for life in there. How wide is your 220?
the only reason id remove the oscar is if i did a community set up. oscars and angels dont mix well lol. and it is a 7'x2'x25" tank
