After seeing many videos of redtail catfishes online, in the future, when my micropeltes and silver aro are older, I plan on getting one. Can anyone share their experiences with the RTC so I can know how they can be taken care of.

Amazing, personable fish. Kinda lazy, but will eat anything that fits in their mouth when hungry. Eat a lot. Get up to 5 feet long. Sweet, loving fish. Check my sig ... and catch up on Pepper's life thus far for more.
As you live in a warm climate i would say build the biggest pond you can with the biggest filter and keep with tankmates of similar size.
The fact that you can keep it in an outdoor pond will solve most of the problems the rest of us have.
