Constipated Jardini

Any suggestions on what to do with a constipated Jardini? He is 15" , and seems to really stuggles to go. Thrashes around a bit not much comes out his appetite has been down as well. Water parameters are good, temp is 86. Thank you

What are u feeding? I’d reduce the temp down to 78. Try some Epsom salt 1 tbsp per 5g.

He has been eating large superworms primarily, occasionally nightcrawlers. I do have aquarium salt in the tank should I get that out before adding Epsom salt? Thank you.

Can add on top of the salt. Try switching to a pellet with some veg in it.

I have some jumbo carnsticks, but he has never shown any interest. Any suggestions on pellets?

He'll be fine a few days not eating and continue with the pellets. He may not like at first but that's a much better diet than the superworms or night crawlers.

NLS is good quality, and I'm Im training to get my 5" jar on it. I think it would be no problem with Hikari.

Was just trying to find the NLS Floating extra large fish. But not seeing it, only in the large buckets. I will start with the Hikari. Thank you

I got it on Amazon. Supercichlids is probably cheaper. But if I was in your place, Hiakri is more than fine. Good luck, the epsom salts I think does help. Ask kno4te , he witnessed it helping my severum lol.
