Constipated Senegal?

Within the last 2 weeks my senegal has begun to develop a "bulge" near its tail. I waited to see if it would go down and have kept to my water changes and what not but it does not seem to go away. any help would be appreciated. He shows no signs of irritation and still eats normally. I can't honestly say whether not he has been "releaving himself" because of the other 3 bichirs I have with him.

i wish i new what to tell you. i just hope it makes it through this. i guess if i was in your position id isolate him in a QT tank. that way i could see if he is in fact being able to properly pass his food, and if he is readily able to do that then it would mean there's a problem somewhere else. thats really about all iv got for you, wish i knew more of what to tell ya, im sure others who are more experienced will post though. good luck and by the way whats the bichir's name?
