Never Neverland
So my fish have been acting a little funny, breathing rapidly and what not. I've been doing some major water changes and still it seems to be getting worse. Well two nights ago I wake up to go to work and my water won't come on. I call my neighbor later that morning and his is off and so is his mom's who lives two houses from me. I come home from work and the water is on but a little brown when it first runs out. Yesterday I get a letter from the city saying the water no longer needs to be boiled for consumption. I call them griping to no prevail because I never got a letter saying it was contaminated to begin. Needless to say when I came home today half my stock was belly up. Not trying to throw a pitty party, just needed to vent.......

That's horrible.I don't know what was up with the brown color to the water but it sounds like they must have been temporarily out of the usual chemicals that they treat the water supply with.Your fish might have been overtaken by some organisms that was in the water.Time for a major water change in your tank.

I just did like 60% and cleaned one filter completely and the other filter I rinsed it and threw some carbon in with it. I tested the water and the nitrites and nitrates are really high, is that maybe because I just did the water change?

I would test your tap water considering the circumstances and treat the water with a double dose of prime if there are still any fish left. Sorry for your loss man.

I tested the tap and the water is fine, maybe the levels are high because of all the dead fish???

Bureaucrats need regular culling to get rid of all Plecos hiding amongst them. If not get rid of Plecocrats, they end up taking over and make much mess all everywhere more than they are worth. Instead of Plecocrats, suggest city hire more Clowncrat Loaches. Even Clowncrat Loaches not worth much, at least they funny! Did Plecocrats not try to warn on TV news or radio or Facebook? Anyway, sounds like plenty people affected. Anyone got sick? Maybe hope someone has baby girl very pretty, but drink dirty water got septicaemia then had to cut off both legs? If can find really good victim like this, can chop up all Plecocrats into sushi. If can find good lawyer, see if can start class-action law-suit? Also, when next time have election, make sure all candidates know Red Tail Crats >>> Plecocrats.
