I was just wondering how thick I would need to go for a 96x36x36 aquarium...

I'd like to look into both glass & acrylic...

also, do all sides need to be equally thick???

In your opinion which do you think would be easiest, glass or acrylic??

I'm thinking acrylic would be easier but they dont recommend going over 30" height...

I'd like to avoid doing a plywood combo as much as possible...

glass is easer to redo if you screw up. you just cut the silicone off and try again. acrylic is permanently bonded or at least scewed up pretty back.

WELL WHEN YOURE DONE THINKING, BRING YOUR TOOLS TO MEMPHIS AND BUILD IT FOR ME!

hopefully I'll be able to perfect my skills to build several...

I'm going to look into some local glass dealers and see if I can get a good deal... my girlfriends dad is a licensed contractor so he might be able to help me out...

good, i already picked a spot out. i want it right next to the bed so i dont even have to get out of bed to watch my fish.
