I'm thinking of re-setting up my 125 gallon (w 25g sump) into a simple 125g continuous drip setup with a resevoir.
The water from my tap is good...low chlorines no chloromines, just not very hard so i do have to do some treatment before it is dripped into my tank.
My question is...with a continuous drip system, do i still need a filter? I'm running two XP 3's right now but will i need them at all? Or will the substrate be all I need for bio and maybe some mechanical filtration.
