Is there a device out there that would allow me to control via the temperature in my tank, when the 2 heaters are turned on? Kind of like a switch that when the temperature reaches X amount, it turns both heaters on, then off once that temp is reached.
I am trying to find a way to not have to calibrate the two heaters. I think the easiest to way to regulate the temp and ensure a heater doesn't stick on, is by having a 3rd party controller. Turns the power on/off to the heaters.

A separate controller is the best way to go. If you set the heaters a little hotter than you want your tanks (say 83 degrees) then if the controller did stick on it would only heat it to that temp.
I use a Medusa controller, it has a lighted display and is very accurate. A really nice feature is the audible high/low alarm.
yes they make heater control modules. i use a ranco single in my tank that is ised on the heater in line under the tank. you plug the heater in to this, turn the heater nob all the way up and set the control module. they sell them to control 2.
there are a bunch to choose from and if you google it you might find better pricing. mine works great i have no problems. stick with this kind and you wont be disapointed!!
