convert and SA tank into a Discus tank

Hi i have a 5ft tank, with severum and tetra, what do i need to do to convert it into a Discus tank?
can i slowly change the water into RO water?

You don't need RO water to keep discus. What are your water parameters in the tank now? Both severums and discus come from the same waters. Most likely your water is already ok for discus. If your looking to go with juvies. Ask the person, you are buying them from, their water parameters and try to match them. Then you can slowly change the water to match your tap water parameters. If you want to breed discus that is another matter.
