Convert F.Lights to T5's?

I have a 50gl Jebo w/built in Lights, is it possible to take out the Transformer n add the correct one for T5's... Then add the proper housing for some T5's??

question first, you willing to run co2 on this tank? cause if not, T5HO will be overkill and will give you problems.

there are retrofit kits available, but for the cost it may end up being cheaper to just get a new fixture. check out www.fishneedit.com they have some good fixtures for dirt cheap

its possible. best bet for finding proper parts is at an electrical supply house.. dont know that home depot or lowes sell tombstones separately

oh i just saw it includes the filter in the canopy. they do sell T5HO retrofit kits, but theyre not cheap. maybe somebody else can recommend a brand, ive never messed with them. i do know that dr.f&s sells some

I already have a great size Co2 tank J
Just don't feel like messing w/another tank. I've never done a Planted Tank so I had an Idea
