After having a very successful reef tank I've decided it's become entirely to much work and have broken it down and will be bringing it back up as fw. This has brought me to this section of the forum.

I currently have a 6 month old Tek T5HO 6x54W light with 4 ATI Blue + and 2 ATI Purple + bulbs. I realize these lights are intense and not exactly the Kelvin rating normally used on freshwater tanks, but I was hoping to at least keep some plants with low requirements as I don't want to get into CO2 and all that other stuff. I'm also trying to avoid changing the bulbs since I recently bought them. Is it possible to have plants flourish without having to replace all the bulbs?

My plans for the 75g will be 2 AC 110s and a 30G sump for filtration. I will be using sand for substrate. And it will house a pair of RTMs along with a school of 10 -12 of some type of barbs or tetras.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I always suggest Anubias sp of plants for people who want plants that don't require much care of special needs... although i'm sure some of the other members have some good recommendations too...
