Converting brackish to fresh

What would be the best way to convert fish from brackish water to fresh water.

I have a ten gallon tank with a salinity of 14 and a specific gravity of 1.010. I just picked up a 3in silver dat for $6 and a pearch type fish for $8. The store had them in water with these readings so I set my tank up like this.

I want to convert them to fresh water so how should I go about it. How often should I do water changes and and how much fresh water should I add each time. Also how long should it take so that I can convert them properly.

Quarter change once a week until it gets really low then just do a couple big water changes. Just do your normal water changes and it'll drop. Then do a couple really big ones.
