I'm wondering what the best way to transfer frontosas from an 8.5 to a more neutral pH. I'd like to buy some fronts from a guy who uses CC for substrate so I can only assume his ph is around 8.5 but I keep my tank at around 7.5. I have the option of using a temporary tank to use as middle ground.

Only thing I can think of is slow drip acclimate.

I run CC in my canisters and my pH is 7.8. Better off asking.

When I do have a fish from a higher pH vendor I change the pH of the quarantine tank with baking soda to match, and then let the pH come down over the 3 weeks quarantine via regular weekly water changes.
