i have 2 peacock bass about 2.5 inches long and am curious about converting them to cichlid staple or hikari food sticks. How can i go about getting them to try something other than rosies or guppys. I havent tried night crawlers but might give it a try tommorow.

you are fat and i dont need your input...i only wanted helpful post

they hang out at the bottom of the tank so the drop feeding method wont work

LOL!!

mine eat bloodworms, and there about 2". took them about 1 week before they actully ate them, but they did.

the growth rate is so slow on feeders though, the food sticks would get them huge QUICK

well you can stay with guppys and stuff its not like an change will occur overnight try getting them on frozen before weaning them onto pellets that will help,(krill silversides) worked for me, hopefully it will work for you

The general consensus on this forum suggests that actually feeders provide the maximum/best growth rate for pbass and should be fed until they reach about 6". Then if you want to wean them onto prepared foods try following Dmack's instructions here :- http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33661
