converting my pbass to non live food

i bought two p bass 3 weeks ago from a guy that has had them for two years...one p bass is 9 -10 inches and other is 7 inches...they have been on gold fish there entire lives...i recently tried putting them on pellets...i have to flick the pellet on the top of the water for the p bass to come up and eat it ... once he eats one he wants no part in eating any more... the other smaller bass just stares at the pellet when i put them in... any help on trying to convert them into eating pellets or non live food?

starve them for a week or two, they'll eat whatever you want. all my bass have been the easiest fish to convert.

yea fresh fish strips work good for me and then mix in some shrimp

thanks guys gonna try some of those ideas...they did not want any part of the shrimp last night..

The best way is to starve them. No food at all until they eat the ideal food. But put in a little of the food each week to get them used to it, also it helps if they see other fish eat it. Good luck

I wish that were true, i starved my Mono's for almost four weeks, and they spit everything out i put in the tank, and i mean everything..........
