in my fish tank
So i was reading dmack's info on converting and it says dont start them off early or until they reach 6-7in. my question is what else could i feed my cockbass besides minnows, that guy is notorius at murdering minnows but wont even touch freeze dryed/prepared food

Earthworms, black worms..... but best while small is small fish :)

hmm..havent tried black or smaller worms, i cut up some nightcrawlers adn put em in the tank but he just stares at em. i need to find somthing else to feed him, thanks for your guy's input.

Hell, I wish mine were less picky. I can't get enough food down to the rays. The PBass eat everything up before it has a chance to sink.

well, im going to go ahead and covert him anyhow. Been doing it for a week now and before when the lights go on he usually hiding underneath the driftwood. I just got him to come out of hiding when the lights are on and he swam right to the top of the surface.

i never fed my pbass live food, they started out with bloodworms and brine shrimp when i brought them home at around 2 inches.

now the big one eats 1/2" or larger pieces of shrimp, raw tuna, beef, chicken and turkey hearts and frozen krill (not freeze dried). i still put a cube of bloodworms or brine shrimp in the big fish tank now and then, but it's mostly to give the crayfish something to eat that the big fish aren't very interested in.
