so ive been exploring ways to cut the cost and getting a large fish tank. and today i ran across someone selling a "vision reptile cage" that comes to be about 630 gallons. however im unsure as to wether i can make this withstand the pressure and or leak proof. has anybody ever done this before? manufacturer says its a "molded one piece construction from durable high density impact resistant polyethylene. " but no thickness is given. the dimensions are 7 feet wide, 3 feet deep, 4 feet high. any ideas or advice?

Really don't know if possible or not. Keep in mind a quality 3 foot deep acrylic tank will have 3/4" thick acrylic. With that kind of depth there will be alot of water pressure.

Vision cages are not really suitable.

size: 80" W x 28" D x 44" H New cost is 999.99 from LLL.

yeah i figured as much, but considering i have the option to pick one up for under 500 i figured spending the extra money to somehow reinforce the walls and put a pain of glass in the front would be much cheaper than buying and or building one of a similar size

ah, well good to know, i guess i can scrap that idea
