im picking up a 180 gal tank, cabinet stand, hood, lights, wet dry filter, and pump all for $600.

It is a slatwater set up but i want to house a jardini in it. What shall i do to prep the tank for fresh water. any i deas?

thanks

rinse... repeat... If there are any barnacle type thingys on the side I would scrape those off.I got a 180g with stand, a 55 and a cascade 100 canister prev saltwater for $250 :P.. I just rinsed it all out really good. The 55 g was the sump and kinda stinky, so I used a really watered down bleach mixutre to clean it. I am only using the 55 as of yet, but all fish are happy.

jsut rinse, scrub, rinse, scrub and ur ok

I just taks a razer to the sides (not near the seals) to clean off any 'issues' then give the tank a good rinse. Wet run, Cycle & stock... I do generaly keep my water slightly brackish anyway.

i just got that tank. its huge. it came with a black stand, amiracle wet dry filter, and a hood. he sold it to me for $500 . was this a good deal?
