I have been keep freshwater fish for a long time. I have kept all the freshwater fish I wanted time to move on. I will still have my 80Gal planted tank.
I have a 100Gal Glass tank it has a uaru and some silver dollars I need to find new homes for. I have a cheap LED light bar on it. I am not looking to do a reef but might want to grow Algae plants. What Kind of Filter system? I was thinking WetDry with skimmer init. I will have live rock I am looking at getting 90lb maybe 100lb of live rock. I might want to get a UVfilter too.
I want to keep very simple. If I could just run a over sized Canister filter with a Skimmer That would be cool. I know everyone says SUMP SUMP SUMP! I am open to getting a sump but I don't have much room for one.
I found a good deal on a already set up 46Gal tank with wetdry sump, skimmer, fish, light , stand and rocks everything. I was thinking maybe sell my 100Gal and get a smaller SW tank. But that seems just silly in the long run. Or Is it? Smaller tank less salt less money on water changes and less time spent? BUT I know bigger tanks better for water Quality and temp. I also only want cute small fish nothing big and crazy.
