Thinking of doing a 55g convict based biotope. Seeking everyone's input. Got a batch of locally bred convicts from a gorgeous pair and a spare tank. Who's got ideas on dithers? And possible bottom fish clean up crew or single cat? Plant ideas, understanding the convicts will batter them

Most people use convicts as dithers but maybe danios if you want to breed these guys. Which will happen even if you don't want them to

For biotope correct catfish look for rhamdia Guatemalensis
Poecilia would be a suitable livebearer.
Danios and pictus will not be found in the natural environment of convicts if you want a strict biotope.
For plants, hornwart left floating can be affective, likes hard water and is very easy to grow.

Stanzzz the man! Thanks for getting me headed the right direction. It can b e surprisingly difficult to wade through results trying to find a good species list. I'll update again as I get things working :)
