Convict breeding pair..small male??

Ok, I finally got my duaghter a new breeding pair of convict's, the female is about 2 1/2 inches and the male is 2 inches. Is this bad?? will the female bully him?? I really want to get a new and larger male and return this one. The female is already breeding with him just fine, but every now and then she will chase him.We currently have a 55 gallon tank. 2 convict breeding pair's, plus this pair. We're going to upgrade this tank to a 75 gallon tank. please leave a comment. Thank you...

IME, My female was a tiny bit bigger than my male (.5 inches at the most). They bred in a 30 gallon long, and once the fry were free swimming, she killed him.

So hopefully, yours will be different, I would just add a alot of hiding places incase one decides to get a little too aggressive with the other. Good luck!!
