convict cichild

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They do grow fast....Could throw at least 40 in a longer tank, as long as filtration is up to par... Be sure every fish has a hiding spot(rock work, pvc pipe, etc.) I would stock slowly, to let your bio filter handle the load.....Realistically you could throw six in a tank and almost guaranteed in a few months you'll have a spawn, they tend to have high reproductive rates.

40 convicts in a 90 gallon? short term. But that won't work long term.

I have four cryptos (relatives of convicts, same size, temperament, etc), in a 70 gallon and there are some aggression problems. You could have at a couple of breeding pairs in a 90 gallon but there may still be territorial disputes. Don't overcrowd it with 40 or even 10, your fish will be immensely unhappy. These fish will grow to be 5 inches long each eventually.

Thank

thanks jus trying to grow a huge male with a hump head

I love convicts, honestly bro when they start spawning they get really mean! It doesn't take long either, so I wouldn't put too many in a 90.
