both my male and female did that recently and now theres eggs!!! so guess its pretty normal

you'll be amazed at how often and 'sudden' a female con can color up or down. but yeah, fancy fins and an orange gut definitely isn't a bad sign. good luck

yea that's absolutely normal........my cons change colors a lot ......going from grays to dark blacks to blues...............

Yeah that actually means that your cons are really healthy and happy. I'll post pics later today if i have time of my female cons.

yes its normal to have that coloration, esp in females, thats usually a way to tell them from the males

Totally normal coloration, definetley moreso for the females but young males also can have some of that coloration. For a while I thought that I had two lesbian convicts until they had eggs, then I noticed the male didn't have those colors anymore!!

Females will often pair up and lay eggs in the absense of males, you may still have two females, unless you have fry of course. Females also tend to loose the color after they spawn. I think the color is a sign of readyness.
