Ok, my step brother own's a pair of CON's(3 inch) living with a 15 inch male dovii, so today I drove over to his house to visit, and his CON's would fight every single fish in his tank(250 gallon). While we were eating I heared this slamming noise?? I checked his tank...the dovii was try to eat their fry, but, couldn't... the pair were teaming up, against his 15 inch dovii, the female would nip the dovii in the eye's and the male would nip at his tail. This right here prove's that CON's are the meanest fish ever!! If you dont think so..tell me why??(what's the story?). thank you...please leave a comment.

There are very few fish that can win a fight against a pair of Cons. Though I'd have never though a 15" Dovii would be among them.

my convict breeding pair, male 4 inches and female 2.5 inches living with a wolf fish, the wolf fish first ate the female, left the male to protect the fry. The male tried to protect fry no matter how scary the opponent is. I've taken out the male from wolf fish's mouth once, but still got eaten, poor convicts.stevee;3331966; said:
Yup, I have about 4 convicts in my posession right now. I really like them because I can use them for so much. I have 2 males in with my 13 inch jaguar cichlid right now, and they are just fine in there. I also have one or two in my african tank. I have a pair going in there and they never get picked on. I also think that it gives the fish a little more entertainment when the africans try to eat the fry and the cons fight them off. If one fish in a tank is getting picked on, I just throw a con in there to take some aggression off. They are awesome little fish.
