how big of a tank do you need to breed them i have a 10 gallon and i want to breed them so could i and how many times do they breed in a month ?

20 gal minimum. If you grow the fry in a separate tank, you may be able to spawn them once every month or two.

10 gallon would be a little small. It would work as a house for the juveniles. Think about finding a 55 gallon cheap on craigslist. Divide it and through two pairs in the tank. You can expect about 50 fish to survive. Transfer them into a smaller tank and the convict will spawn again. The fry grow slow so multiple schools are needed to have a constant source of food(for feeders).

im feeding them to my piranhas anyway so do you think they will breed and then im going to feed them when they get bigger cuz i need a fish that i can breed for my piranhas

You can't do it with only a 10g. Even if you get juvenile convicts to spawn in a 10g, you still need another tank to raise them until they get big enough.
