is it normal for male convicts to display alot of red colouration. i bred both males and females with this colour from pair of standard black and sliver. just wondering if i should keep these for breeding or is this common?
i had a pink femle like that ( some members should remember my adult female pink i had a few years ago ) sadly she died. but she had more orange then pink!
I have an old booklet on fishkeeping - - it's from the 1960 or 1970s - - that had artwork pictures of popular aquarium fish, and the one for the convict looks just like the one in the OP's picture . . . I always figured it was exagerated . . .
personally, I have never seen any convicts that colorful . . . I always hear that wild-caught convicts are much more colorful than the ones we see at the LFS
