I found a convict of decent size, about 4-5" but i dont know how convicts are supposed to look but i always thought there were all black and white. But the one at the lfs had this yellowish coloring on there sides. Looked like a diesease but couldnt put my finger on it. And also how much would you pay for a con of that size?

Well, females have red on their sides. Maybe that was what you saw and there was a tint to the water?

Yes that's a normal female in breeding colors. They are almost always ready for action.

Alright lol thats wierd cause thats weird, the water just must be bad because its in a tank buy itself
Mine was colored up real well and she was alone in a 30 gal tank with excellent water. I think the females just put their make-up on in the HOPES a male Convict will come along lol The female Cons are one of the prettiest fish there is with their blue, green, yellow and orangee. Too bad they're so mean.
