How long does it usually take convict cichlids eggs to hatch and does it need a specific temp?
Its been 3-4 days and they are still just there.

just sit and wait. Convicts are great parents. If they this batch doesnt hatch, the next one will. For now u should just put a screen/sponge on the filter intake. Good luck!

Hey,
I just had my first batch with convicts back in July, now it seems like every few weeks!!! When people say "you are not gonna know what to do with them" its no understatement!! But it shouldnt be much longer, just make sure the eggs are still good and that they havent turned white (bad eggs) but the temp really doesnt matter, I have had mine hatch in waters in the low 60s!! Good Luck, keep us posted!

Thanks guys, I was worried that something might have been wrong with them. The eggs are light brown in color right now
