Convict fending off much larger foe

Just a couple of pics to show off my favorite convict pair "fending off" the much larger Jack Dempsey, although Jack just wants to eat and really wants no part of these convicts or their fry.

had a male convict that used to do that, then one day my male jack ended up destroying the male convict.

ive seen convist chase rtc's and tsn's but then ive seen the same tsn and rtc destroy the whole "school" of convicts. (there where 10 convicts @ sea world)

That's why cons were considered ounce for ounce the most aggro cichlid when breeding and protecting young

In the wild, they'd fend off huge sturgeons, so they are aggressive when breeding..

Yeah, one day the convict owned the tank, then turned the lights the next day and he is laying on his side.
