I had a pair of Convicts breed in my 40G back at school but after going away for a week and a half (asked roomate to do a water change for me), I noticed the parents had strange behavior and the female had some sort of fungal growth. They both died shortly after that.
Only had them for approximately 5 months...but they were my first experience with cichlids and I learned a great deal from them.
These were my first and only pictures I ever took of them (pissed that the last pictures I have of them include water streaked glass.)

Initially, I had planned on selling the fry as feeders to my LFS and pick up some new cichlids but after thinking about it, I plan on raising these fry because I really think the parents were beautiful.
Anyways, I've had the fry since roughly the end of october and they range in size from a couple of females (less than .5 in) to some males (~1 in.).
As of now, I plan on selling my 40G to my friend whose startin up a reef and move the 20L I have the fry in (with an Emperor 280) to school once break's over.
How long would I be able to house approx. 40-60 fry in the 20L at this size?
