I had my first batch about two weeks ago. I only got 10 fry from the first batch, was on a trip when they hatched. The parents looks like they are ready for their second batch.

When the second batch hatches, is it ok to put them with the first batch? I only have one grow out tank so was hoping the baby fry would all get along.

Thanks for the advice.

How large is the grow out tank? You have to remember that they will breed every 2-4 weeks forever. Make sure you have the space for all those fish.

If they are feeders it'll be fine.

Two week old fry might have large enough mouths to feed upon newly hatched fry........But like bbs, newly hatched fry are packed in protein.........The boost will make the two week old fry grow a lot quicker..........Besides, convict cichlids spawn twice, sometimes three times a month.............
