Convict fry

I woke up to 50-100 convict fry this morning. Any particular precausions that i should take?

Also can a convict breed with a texas cichlid?

That happened to me a while back with my 180 gallon they survived along with my oscar and a featherfin catfish for 4 weeks then I decided to move them out to a growout they should be fine though for a little while the parents will take care of them for the first few days then begin to feed them you will be fine

Just make sure they can eat, like crushed flakes or newly hatched brine shrimp work. Yes they can hybridize with texas, here is a pic of one.

They are in an own tank with the mother and father. A 55g should i still seperate them into a fry tank? Im crushing hikari pellets up into a dust. They seem to be eating it.

They should be fine. Mine used to take the fry for a swim around the tank and attack anyone that came near. They survived a tank with an Oscar, a two foot fire eel and a foot long BGK. Also saw the male grab a chunk of fish, chew it up and spit the ground up food into the fry swarm.

Lol thats badass. My plan is to use these as a source of food for my RB Snook, my peacock bass and RTC.
