Convict growth rate

I've had this guy for a little over a year. Got him when he was around .5" when I got him. He's around 3-3.5" now. But his growing has seemed to come to stop. From this point on will growth be really slow?

Here's a before and after of the little guy.

probably faster than usual in a big tank as the dominant fish. vary diet, keep temps about 78F-80F, make sure his belly is always full

He's in a 48x18x12 45 gallon with some tiger barbs.

fast for a fish that's only 14-18 months old. they're Convicts, not Amphs or Oscars. Takes 2-4 months of age to reach 1/2", so growth rate would be like ...1/4" per month, so every 4 months adds another inch, sounds about right

that would be till past juvie age or, 8 months to a year, then it slows way down.
