how to i breed my convict cichlids one is bigger with a red spot and the other is just straight no color just stripes are they ready to breed and when they do how do i care for them help me out thanks

just add water. convicts are great parents. do they have any tankmates?

It sounds like you have a pair. Like eleven bravo said just add water.

although how do i know if there ready and i have no tankmates but what size thank is needed i got them in a 20g

20g should be fine for 2 convicts. what size are they? i think around 1.5"

maybe at most 3 in most likely smaller but i think i have two females if i get a male will they both breed

if you have two females and you add a male, then the male will pair up with one of the females and then they both will beat up the other female. just take her out once they pair up.

The one with the red spot is a femail ready to breed, so if they are not breeding, I would get a few more and let them pair off. Eather rehome the left overs in your tanks or sell them back to your LFS.

thanks so what after i get eggs just leave them alon or what

Convicts are great parents so no need to seperate the fry unitl they are larger then 1/4" after 1/2" they will start to eat the parents.
