Hey wanted ask a quick question about my two pink convicts that i have. I have male 3" pink convict and a female 2"pink convict. They started digging a type of pit between these two rocksi have in the tank. and i think they have breeded because the male really defends these rocks with a lot of agreesion towards me when i get close. but the problem im trying to figure out is i cant find the egss anewhere and would it be possible they put them in the gravel because theres piles of gravel rite next to the rocks.and no signs of eggs anewhere.

u shuld put a cave for them to breed in, youll know when they breed, the female always stays inside the cave. the male is always outside. the female never lets the male inside. and ull see a black line on the female

mine layed eggs right on a piece of fake wood i put in the tank. they even beat up my oscars who were in the tank! i didn't actually see any eggs, but eventually i saw all the little babies in the tank... it may take a few days but u should notice them soon.

That just happened to me a few weeks ago. I saw this behavior, and I probably killed a few eggs packing down the gaps in the gravel but a few days later I saw all the little fry appeared so I'm guessing they're pretty hardy. Why do you want to find them? Just wait until they hatch. And yes, with this behavior, they are most likely "expecting." I'm probably going to take the cave away next time. I don't want that many convicts! :nilly:
Good luck and don't worry! ;)
