ok i bought a small convict i thought was a female it had small orange dots on its sides when i got it home in the bag it still had the orange dots. i put it in my tank and the dots are gone i havent seen the orange dots in two weeks and she has grown a half inch.whats up with this.

males sometime's have a little orange but it's usually not as common to see it. if it's in the tank an constantly showing orange its a female.
The females show bright orange when they have eggs, the males kinda have small dots of orange where as the female gets a patch of orange
