Convict just got evicted.

5 hours ago everything was fine, both were at the top of the tank eating pellets. I came home from work and the FH was eating him. They've been together for about a month and there wasn't much aggression in the tank, just a chase every now and then.

That's not good. Was he eaten whole or just torn up? That reminds me of a cichlid community I had many years ago that included a small breeding pair of convicts. For some strange reason I had the brilliant idea to put a smallmouth bass in there.The bass actually did fine in there for about 30 days. The convicts kept pestering the bass, nipping at him and chasing him away from their nesting area. I was watching them do this one day, then I left home to get groceries. When I got back, both the convicts were gone, except for a tail sticking out the smallmouth bass's mouth.
