Convict layed eggs by herself

So like a week ago, two of my convicts paired up and starting picking on my Pink convict. They were really terrorizing her so I moved her into a 10 gallon tank by herself.

This morning, I see a ton of eggs everywhere. She layed them all over the bottom of the tank on the one side. I wasn't aware that convicts lay eggs by themselves.

Would it be a good idea to introduce the male who bred with the other female in the tank to fertilize the pink convicts eggs as well?

GO to the store and purchase another $5 male for her....Her laying eggs is a dam good sign she is ready breed....As for the current batch that is "laying" around, scoop or siphon out right away.......Unfertilized eggs will lead to bad water...........

Idea, can I just dump them in the tank with the pair of convicts? Will the female watch over them like they are her own?

The pink female and the pair are about 3-3 1/2 inches. I have two smaller convicts that are maybe 1 1/2-2" that I just put in with the pink female.

If the two smaller convicts are male, then they will breed with your lonely female within 2 weeks..........

I think that one is a female. It looked like a female at the store, but then after I brought it home it seemed a lot less red in the stomach.

I just fed the eggs to my other tanks. Apparently tetras love convict eggs!
