Convict like fish

i bought 3 fish that were in a tank full of cons.... they looks similar in thier markings and body shape, but thier coloration was very different.
They have a yellow coloration and almost blue eyes. They are the same size as cons at this point. Thier bars or stripes are a tan color....
They are not Rainbows or hondurans.... i tried uploading pics but haven't been able to yet..
Any ideas what they may be??
also they are a lot shyer then the cons when moved to a new tank....

Sounds like Cryptoheros Cutteri.

I agree with the cutteri guess. Very similar IME to cons in breeding behaviors.

I would go with Cutteri as well, without seeing pictures.

Sounds like it could possibly be C. nanoluteus. These are a bit washed out due to bad photog skills on my part. They are mine.
