Convict Male or female?

I have 2 convicts. 1 is female and has the typical big orange patch on her belly/side.
The other has 2 -3 pinhead size orange flakes on its stomach, they are barely even noticable until its under the right light. Does this make it a female or can males have a few flakes of orange that are barely noticable?

All the males that I have kept had no orange on their sides, and I have species from 5 different collection locations.
