Today I got a senegal bichir... I put him i my 38 g. I moved my little pair of convicts to my 75, and when I got home tonight my poor little female was in my lima shovelnoses belly... Will the male pair with another female if I buy one?? And yes they were already a pair as they had just layed eggs.

not nessecarily its all about individual fish but for the most part he should accept it, if not you can always trade or something.

the male will likely accept the female, regardless of type . . . I'm wondering if you're going to continue to keep them in the same tank with the shovelnose (?)
