Is there a point where the parents stop watching the fry? My convicts bred In the main tank. They fed, herded, and guarded the fry for about a week, not letting anything get close. Now they are swimming all over the tank and no signs of fry.
yea ime, theres a point that they will stop looking after their frys. ussually if they are free swimming and can eat by themselves, the parents will give em their freedom.
if u cant find them and the parents are protecting anything only about a week or 2 after they were hatched they were prolly eaten... Get a little tank to put them in or get a net breeder or sumthing, becuase Convicts like most cichlids are Piscavores!
