want to know if there is a ratio i should be useing to breed my cons. i had one female that was ready to spawn the other day in my communtiy tank, and i took her out with the one male that she hangs out with the most, put them in a 10 gal (they are small 1in) with 6 4in pots and one 2in. all they do is swim around looking for food. should i go get some tetras or add another male, or a few females? what should i do, and what am i doing wrong... i know the tank isnt quite big enough but its all i got atm... but the guys at the lfs said it would be fine, for one small pair... another thing was that i put a few pots in my big community aquarium and they where defending them, but nothing has happend since i moved them, i dont realy have anything to put in there to make them defend their teritory, exp for feeders. i could go get some tetras like i said befor.

u didnt have to put them in a new tank if the female is spawning already. i presume u used new water in the 10g?
yeah put in new water, and i moved them because i got alot of expensiver fish (some what hard to find out here) and i didnt want anything to get the crap kicked out of them by the convicts
