Convict Sex

I have convict fry that have grown and now some of them are about 2 inches long, When will they be sexually mature?? I cannot wait to have more fry.

many breed at 1 inch or bigger. Just turn up the temp to 80 and feed them well.

I've had convict fry breed before they hit 1". Survival rates would be lower but it can be done. As soon as you see some orange bellies, they are as sexually mature as a 12 year old girl.

I do not have a heater in that tank right now, could that make it harder for them to breed, I live in NJ but my basment is pretty warm

lol^ i got some baby convicts from my lfs thay must of been about an 1'' thay bred the next daythay ate the eegs but thay was back at it the following week

Haha, kinda what I was thinking. They're cons, don't worry about it. Before you know it, you're going to have more than you can possibly house and won't have anywhere to keep/take/put them. Here in a couple months, you'll regret ever having these concerns .
