Just a suggestion but I notice quite a few threads about convict (and other similar species) breeding. Why doesnt someone who is regularly breeding these, take some photos and documment some step by step details so people can know what to expect? Include some things to beware of and mistakes often made...

my 2.2 cents.

Once I get into a routine, I plan on doing this. For now, though, I want to get the basics down, and have a couple sucessful spawns first. I'm no expert, and I think that's the way a guide should be done, with the reader and writer learning as they go along.

Add male and female to water, feed them, they dig a lot, they clean a spot, they lay eggs, they tend the eggs and fan them, then it looks like they eat them, they only moved them to a new spot, babies become a free-swimming cloud, net babies out, rinse repeat. Convicts don't need human intervention. They'll spawn in a 5 gallon bucket if left in it long enough. j/k, but it's about that simple.

Theres is currently several threads doscumenting the spawning of convicts.

This is how they do it.
Step 1: Get Male and Female Convict
Step 2: Add Water
Step 3: Expect Eggs
Step 4: Hand out the Cigars
